Short of temper under delay
My impatience was surrounding me
Suddenly losing the power to act
Beyond my obligations or duty
I was asking for immunity from the fear
Of unbearable physical pain
Only my body can endure
In the habit of being practical
My resistance was free of artificiality
Suddenly losing the power to see
Beyond my beliefs or faith
I needed protection from the predictability
Of passing through the life
Only my soul could understand
